People Places Pines
As I approach the end of my sophomore year, I wanted to reflect on why I chose Dartmouth as my home for four years.

Get to know me and my first summer college experience through FYSEP!

You don't have to be outdoorsy to love Dartmouth, but even the most "indoorsy" Dartmouth student will benefit greatly from easy access to nature from campus!

In this post, I want to share some of the courses I'm taking this fall and why I'm excited about them!

Hello! I'm Cal, and I'm a '27—that is, a member of the class of 2027—at Dartmouth. I hope that you will get to know a bit more about me through this post!

My very first blog post! Written from 3FB (3rd Floor Berry), with love.

Greetings from the woods! I'm Taylor, an international student class of 27; come explore Dartmouth with me!

Welcome to the woods and nice to meet you! I'm Kalina Duncheva, a '27 from Sofia, Bulgaria. I'll be one of your guides as you embark on your journey across People Places Pines, Hanover, and beyond!

Get to know a bit more about me as I settle into college life at Dartmouth.

I'm here to tell you about Dartmouth... but who am I? As I start my journey at the College (and as a People Places Pines blogger), get to know a little bit more about me and what interests me!

Ask a Student
My daughter is interested in environmental sciences and loves the idea of the Dartout Club, but she's hesitant about Dartmouth's Greek life prominence and party culture. Can she still feel a part of the community without joining a sorority?

As someone who has navigated the complex, vibrant ecosystem of Dartmouth from the unique lens of being an international student from Zimbabwe, I find it truly rewarding to engage with prospective students and their families.

What's something you've done at Dartmouth that you couldn't have done or experienced anywhere else?

The verdant landscapes of Dartmouth have been a nurturing ground for countless unique experiences and adventures. Each corner of this hallowed institution holds tales of traditions, trials, and triumphs.

Why do students at Dartmouth participate in Greek life?

This is a question that I have been asked dozens of times by not only prospective students but my family and friends back home.

For those who are away/have been away from campus: what do you miss most about Hanover and Dartmouth?

Mhoro (Hello) from sun-kissed Zimbabwe! As I sit on my patio in Harare, my mind often drifts to the vibrant days and tranquil nights of Dartmouth. From every laughter shared to every lesson learned, the memories are vivid.

From what I've researched, Dartmouth doesn't offer any business degrees to undergraduates. What alternatives are there, and is it worth applying if there aren't any business-related options?

As you sit against the backdrop of an ever-changing digital world, you might wonder, "Dartmouth, an Ivy League gem, why the absence of a traditional undergrad business degree?" Allow me, your trusted Dartmouth diarist, with my quintessential green

I love food and cultural-oriented food as well, so what's there to eat at Dartmouth?

If the world can be explored through its flavors, Dartmouth promises a voyage of epic proportions.

For the D-Plan, must students take classes for all four quarters a year or can they take one quarter off a year?

When you think of college, the typical two-semester system probably pops into your mind. But Dartmouth, with its commitment to unique and tailored learning experiences, offers something refreshingly different: the D-Plan.

I'm a UK prospective student applying to Dartmouth and am a practicing Muslim. Is there a prayer room available? Can you also provide information about the Muslim community at Dartmouth?

Greetings from Dartmouth's breathtaking realm, nestled amidst Hanover's rolling green vistas! My faith may walk a different path, but Dartmouth's vast landscape of experiences has allowed me to witness the rich tapestry of its Muslim community.

How easy is it to travel to and from Hanover, especially for students who want to visit home or explore other cities during breaks?

One of the considerations that prospective Dartmouth students may have is the accessibility and convenience of traveling to and from Hanover, particularly when it comes to visiting home or exploring other cities during breaks.

Bio
I'm Kennedy, a literature nerd and creative writer from the outskirts of Memphis. I'm also a senior here at Dartmouth. When I'm not working in admissions as a senior fellow, I'm a student employee at the library and a research assistant with an English professor. I love music and analyzing teen drama TV (think Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars). I'm thinking about going to law school after my time here. I've had such a great time at Dartmouth and am excited to share that with you!
