Why I Chose Dartmouth
With National College Decision Day coming up, I have been thinking a lot about my own experience applying to college. So, let me tell you why I chose the College on the Hill.
A Blizzard of Unbelievable Beasts
We are celebrating winter's beauty with a week full of parties, winter sports, and an array of awesome events. Here is the inside scoop…
The Best Walks at Dartmouth
Here are some of the best paths and trails on campus!
- No. 1
Pine Park
Located on the outskirts of the Dartmouth Golf Course, Pine Park is a set of beautiful trails lined with tall pines (as the name suggests) and bordering the Connecticut River. The path can get icy during winter, so make sure to wear boots if it's cold outside!
- No. 2
The Golf Course
The Dartmouth Golf Course has some awesome sights. In warm months, the grass is green and soft, and you can get a clear view of the mountains surrounding Hanover. In winter, snow covers the fields–just enough for sledding!
- No. 3
Occom Pond
Occom Pond is a classic. It is surrounded by a hilly road and trees just sparce enough to give you a clear view of the water. In winter, the pond freezes and you can often find locals, and Dartmouth students, playing hockey and ice skating. This is a short, beautiful walk–perfect for when you're short on time!
Four Reasons I Love Dartmouth
One year ago, I was waiting impatiently for time to pass so I could start college. Now, on my second term at the College on the Hill, I've started reflecting on why that is.
Shredding the Gnar
I am earning my PE credit in my second term of college — by snowboarding.
