A Day of Quarantine Meals
Hi all!
This winter, I am living on campus amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. So, things are a little different than other years. The biggest difference for me has been food access—since we have to quarantine upon arrival, we are not able to walk to FOCO (aka '53 Commons) to pick and choose our meals. Instead, we have pre-packaged meals delivered to us during the first part of quarantine; for the second part (once we have received our first negative COVID-19 test), we are allowed to pick up meals from pop-up stations scattered throughout campus—these are the meals I'll be sharing with you.
Just a quick disclaimer: I am a night own and have not managed to pull myself out of bed early enough for breakfast yet. I hear it's good, though!

Lunch
There are usually three options for each meal. Today for lunch I went with a veggie burger served with a side of rice, carrots, and tomato soup. I also grabbed a falafel wrap and some popcorn from a self-serve bin. For drink, we get to choose between water, seltzers, sodas, and milk.

Snack
We don't officially have a "snack" meal period; however, we're able to grab extra pre-packaged food during all meal periods, so I like to keep some snacks on me to replace breakfast. Today I had a few granola bars, a rice crispy treat, ramen, and a tortilla with nutella (I brought the last two from home).

Dinner
Lastly, today I had tofu smothered with tomato sauce and veggies, mash potatoes, rice, broccoli, and an egg and cheese croissant. I threw some hot sauce in the mix as well, and this was definitely my favorite meal today.
So there it is, a full day of meals during quarantine. Overall, I think the quality is great. We get different food options every day, and will get even more variety after quarantine ends—so, if you're curious about what dining looks like at Dartmouth then, stick around the blog for updates.
