An Ode To Hanover Sunsets
One of the best things about the Upper Valley is its spectacular sunsets that we get to witness each evening.
This photo was taken from my off campus house in Hanover. I was in the middle of a Zoom meeting but absolutely had to run outside to capture the incredible colors. Needless to say, Instagram was absolutely flooded with sunset photos from Dartmouth students that evening.
My friend Kira and I were biking along the Connecticut when the colors popped during this sunset. One of my favorite socially distanced activities to do this Fall has been biking -- there are some incredible routes in the Upper Valley.
"Sun-sikes," or sunset hikes, are a big thing here at Dartmouth. We hiked Mount Cardigan -- about a 45 minute ride away and a 30 minute hike up -- for this sunset. It was absolutely worth the journey.
This crosswalk is right in the epicenter of Hanover. The photo looks down West Wheelock street towards Vermont. To the right you can see the Collis Center for Student Engagement.
This photo was from last winter term and is one of my all time favorite photos from my time at Dartmouth. The way the colors juxtaposed with the snow made for a surreal moment.
This photo was taken a couple of days ago in during this past warm spell that, despite it being early November, has enabled Dartmouth students to flock to the Green once again. It has been wonderful seeing my classmates back out playing Spikeball, studying, and simply chatting out in the center of campus.
