The weather was amazing!

What do you do when the temperature hits 80 degrees Fahrenheit? You hang out outside! As spring starts to really kick into high gear, it is nice to have days full of sunshine and warm weather, where campus really starts to come alive after the coldness of winter. This past week, we got some really nice weather at Dartmouth, so I spent a bunch of the days hanging out outside!

The Green was completely packed the first two days of really warm weather, with people hanging out, doing work, chatting with friends, eating, or even napping. I hung out with a couple of my friends while I did some readings for my classes, before getting some ramen from Collis for lunch.

Later, I had my history class, which is on American women in the 20th century. The class is centered on discussions, so there wasn't necessarily a reason to be in a physical classroom. And with the nice weather, I asked my professor if we could have class outside, something that is not uncommon here, especially on nice days. To my delight, she said yes! We all shuffled out of our usual room and had the outdoors as our class, as we talked about the readings for the week, focusing on some work by Sylvia Plath.

Finally, my fraternity had a cookout as a brotherhood event, where we sat on our lawn while eating some good food off of the grill. It was a great event, and I got to chat with some of my friends whom I hadn't talked to in a bit. I even got to see some of my friends who were walking by, and we just all really liked the weather and atmosphere of the past couple of days.

As we get more into the spring term, days like these, with warm weather and people outdoors, will continue to happen. So I'm excited for what the future holds!
