Wow. I cannot believe that this term is already over. It genuinely felt like yesterday that I was arriving on campus to begin the term. We are now more than halfway done our first-year at Dartmouth, which is such an insane thing to think about! Let me talk about the highlights from winter term and what made it so special.

Classes: My classes this term were simply incredible. I took ENVS 3 (Environment and Society), Writing 5 (What is Knowledge?), and QSS 17 (Data Visualization). ENVS 3 was absolutely incredible and much more interdisciplinary than I thought it was going to be. We learned about economics, government, environmentalism, and even some philosophy which was super cool. Writing 5 was such an interesting class, and I really enjoyed the philosophy behind it! I had the same professor as I did last term, so it was amazing to continue to form a relationship with him during winter term. And finally, QSS 17, my favorite class of the term. This class is incredibly challenging, but so rewarding. You learn all about the programming language R, and there is certainly a lot to learn! But overall, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to further their knowledge of statistics and data analysis.

The Tower Room, which is where I studied a lot for my classes!

The Snow/Weather: I cannot believe I am saying this, but the weather and snow here have made this term even better. From the snowball fight to snow angels, the snow is absolutely breathtaking and makes campus even more pretty. And of course it is cold here, but it was not as bad as I was expecting! As we are entering spring term, it is starting to get warmer and sunnier out, which makes me super excited for what's to come.

The People: And of course, I have to talk about the people here. I firmly believe that at Dartmouth, the people make the place. From dorm room talks to late night runs, everyone here is just so incredibly nice and passionate about what they do, which made this winter term so much better than it has already been.

Winter term was such a blast, and I cannot wait for spring term to start!
