Reminiscing about Dartmouth's Charm
From indulging in delicious treats to enjoying the vibrant campus music scene, there's so much to look back on with fondness. One of my favorite pastimes is walking over to "Scoops," the charming ice cream shop that's conveniently close to our dorms. With its extensive range of flavors, it's hard to pick just one, but Scoops' blueberry ice cream is undoubtedly my all-time favorite. While ice cream is a year-round delight, I especially love visiting Scoops during the early spring, early fall, and the warmer months when the weather perfectly complements a cold treat.
Another highlight of Dartmouth life is the incredible music scene on campus. There's no shortage of student bands performing at Greek events and other student gatherings. The excitement peaks at the end of the year during the "Battle of the Bands," a thrilling competition where the winning band earns the honor of opening for the year's headliner at Green Key. [Green Key is a highly anticipated spring concert at Dartmouth, organized by the student body's Programming Board. Held on the picturesque Gold Coast Lawn near Tuck Drive, this event features performances by two well-known music artists. For more information, check out my blog post about it!]
Finally, I find myself missing the beautiful natural surroundings that Dartmouth offers. Fall is my favorite season, and I can't wait to see the leaves change colors, make homemade pumpkin pie, go apple picking, and fully embrace all the cozy, autumnal activities that come with it. There's something incredibly special about the changing seasons, and Dartmouth's picturesque landscape makes it even more magical.
As we transition from summer to fall, I'm filled with a sense of anticipation and nostalgia. Here's to cherishing the memories we've made and looking forward to all the exciting moments that lie ahead!
