Hi all! Welcome to my blog! My name is Robin. I am a senior studying Economics and the Digital Arts. Outside of class I'm a guitarist, amateur rock climber, and seasoned billiard player–if you're on campus, there's a good chance you can find me at the Collis pool hall.       This course studies the economic behavior of employers and employees as they interact in the labor market, covering topics such as human capital investment, the structure and determinants of financial compensation and benefits packages, contract negotiations and arbitration.

      Painting I is an introductory class in oil painting techniques, painting language, and critical thinking. Major topics that will be covered include: basic color theory, color mixing, paint application, and color composition.

      This course explores how the brain controls our motivation to pursue goals and how drugs of abuse hijack those systems, exploring in detail how narcotic drugs (opioids, stimulants, alcohol, cannabis) act in the brain and the mechanisms underlying the transition from drug use to addiction.

The Best Walks at Dartmouth

Walks are an awesome way to relax. Personally, I like to take walks during study breaks, between classes, and whenever I have free time with friends. So, as you might guess, I have explored enough to know the best trails around campus. Here are some of my favorites:

 

 

  1. No. 1

    Pine Park

    Woods

    Located on the outskirts of the Dartmouth Golf Course, Pine Park is a set of beautiful trails lined with tall pines (as the name suggests) and bordering the Connecticut River. The path can get icy during winter, so make sure to wear boots if it's cold outside!

  2. No. 2

    The Golf Course

    Golf

    The Dartmouth Golf Course has some awesome sights. In warm months, the grass is green and soft, and you can get a clear view of the mountains surrounding Hanover. In winter, snow covers the fields–just enough for sledding!

  3. No. 3

    Occom Pond

    Occom

    Occom Pond is a classic. It is surrounded by a hilly road and trees just sparce enough to give you a clear view of the water. In winter, the pond freezes and you can often find locals, and Dartmouth students, playing hockey and ice skating. This is a short, beautiful walk–perfect for when you're short on time!
