As 2021 fades, let's look forward to 2022

I cannot believe that it is 2022 already. The past two years with the pandemic have made time seem like it doesn't exist anymore, and that has definitely had its pros and cons. However, I am looking forward to this year, and all that it will bring.

In a couple of days, the winter term will be starting up. And interestingly enough, at the last minute, I decided to take classes instead of being on an off term. So instead of doing an internship or research, I will be back on campus! Because I am still outside of the US since my study abroad ended, I will be arriving on campus a little late, however. Even so, I am really looking forward to being back at Dartmouth since it has been so long. I have to admit, I am a little concerned about Omicron, but given that by the end of January, pretty much everyone on campus will have their booster shots, I feel like I can breathe a sigh of relief.

This year, I will also be looking for internships for the summer. It is crazy that I am now thinking about my time after Dartmouth. It feels like just yesterday I was going to my freshman dorm in the River cluster, excited to start my first Fall term, then as a government major (my my, have the times changed).

I know that 2022 is going to be interesting. From ending my junior year, starting my final one, (hopefully) seeing the end to the pandemic, and narrowing down career aspects, it will be hectic. Nevertheless, I am going to make sure that I cherish every single day of my time at Dartmouth, from the good days to the bad. This place is special, and I am glad I have more time before I leave the College on the Hill. Let's go 2022!
