Let's Go, Sophomore Year!
I'm back, now as an official college sophomore! After an eventful spring term and summer term back home, I am currently residing on campus this fall. A lot of change has happened here; the campus is only half-filled, everyone is wearing masks, and people have been tested multiple times since getting to campus. Nevertheless, we students have persevered, and we have adapted to these regulations with different ways to keep occupied, such as Zoom trivia nights and many walks around the beautiful campus. I have been able to explore more of Dartmouth, whether in the calmness of the BEMA (Big Empty Meeting Area) or on the Connecticut River during sunset.
This term is definitely filled with uncertainties, whether regarding the coronavirus, current political events, or even with me trying to figure out what major I want to pursue. However, I am thankful that I can be on campus now and meet new people, such as the new 24s, or other upperclassmen in my dorm. I am also looking forward to growing in my knowledge of the world through my classes this term, and I hope to be a better force for change at the end of this. I'm excited to take on this year. So let's go!
