I can't believe I'm writing my last blog post for Dartmouth Admissions! I started writing for the blog in the first quarter of my freshman year, and have been publishing stories about my Dartmouth experience ever since. Having such a rich archive of my experiences is incredible—in this final post, I will reflect on some of the best things that have come from my Dartmouth experience!

One of the best reasons for choosing Dartmouth, in my opinion, has been a combination of the undergraduate focus and the research opportunities for undergraduates. Dartmouth's relatively small student body means that there are tons of opportunities to get involved with any kind of academic research or development of your choosing. Having this freedom to explore my academic interests and apply for financial and institutional support for these projects through abundant grant and fellowship opportunities allowed me to explore a wide range of passions and interests throughout my undergraduate experience. Eventually, this exploration and support helped me settle on documentary filmmaking and video journalism, which is an interest that I never had thought would have been accessible to me before Dartmouth. I am now pursuing a master's program in documentary filmmaking after graduation, which wouldn't have been possible without the exploratory nature of Dartmouth's undergraduate experience.

Another one of my favorite things about Dartmouth is the emphasis on study abroad programs. Despite having a smaller student body than most schools, there is still a rich diversity of study abroad programs that students can take advantage of; as an undergraduate, I was able to study both in Morocco and Kuwait for two separate terms, while still completing my degree on time. Having this opportunity to develop and grow outside of campus was invaluable; again, I would have never imagined that I would travel all around the Middle East until Dartmouth made it possible for me to do so.

Finally, another core component of my Dartmouth experience was the opportunity to spend time in rural New Hampshire and Vermont. Dartmouth's geographic location is incredibly unique: campus is surrounded by mountains, hiking trails, and small towns. Having the opportunity to spend formative years of my life in such a unique environment has been incredible; in addition to exploring all across New Hampshire and Vermont, the campus' rural location means that I have had ample opportunities to grow closer with my friends here on campus. As I prepare to graduate, I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have developed these important friendships.

I will definitely miss writing these blog posts, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my Dartmouth experience through them! Dartmouth has empowered me to experience so much growth over the past four years, and I hope that my posts will be helpful for prospective students for years to come.
