The Openness of Dartmouth's Community
I have talked about this in so many other posts, but I feel as though I need to dedicate an entire post to talk about just how incredible Dartmouth's community is. There are numerous ways in which people can find their own community, so let me talk about such ways!
Residential Houses: The residential houses here at Dartmouth offer an incredible way to get to know your peers! Whether it is during move-in, floor meetings, or just seeing each other in the dorm, people get incredibly close to each other within each hall. I may be biased, but I do truly believe that West House (and especially the river dorms) has such an incomparable tight-knit community. I am friends with nearly everyone on my floor, and I am certainly going to miss it next year. In addition, I find myself in the dorms of my other friends, which shows that dorms are a place to build community!

Clubs: Clubs on campus provide an amazing way to get to know people who share similar interests. With more than 160 clubs here at Dartmouth, it is undeniable that there is a place for everyone! I have met some of my closest friends through these clubs, and I am so grateful that I have been able to get involved in things that I am so passionate about!
Events: The thing that I love most about Dartmouth is just how open campus really is. Nearly every event is open to campus, and it makes the Dartmouth community feel so much more tight-knit. Whether it is dance performances or parties, anyone can participate in them, which is why I love Dartmouth so much. It does not feel like there are exclusive spaces in campus, and all of these events promote a sense of belonging.

Dartmouth's community is truly incomparable, and I am so glad that I chose to attend such an amazing place.
