Over a course of a few days, I ended up adding five books to my personal collection - after having not bought a book in months!
Even though I am not in Baker, that Dartmouth spirit of reading and learning is alive and well.
Nestled beneath Baker lobby and to the west of the mural room, the Book Arts Workshop provides a space where print tradition is kept alive and well.
This term, I read a variety of interesting books that really expanded my mind and got me thinking more about the world around me.
"You get to be taught by the professors who actually write the textbooks!"
While it was certainly an attractive concept, frankly, it left me somewhat unimpressed.
There is nothing I enjoy more during fall than curling up with a cup of tea (or your favorite warm beverage) and a good book.
Before this class, I seldom had to read non-fiction for academic purposes. These books were a great way to cement our understanding of concepts we learned in class, but with a real-world twist.
So, as an Art History major, I needed to take one Studio Art class as part of my curriculum. I was SO nervous!
I am obviously still caught up in how beautiful the weather is on campus during spring, and I have been constantly looking for more ways to enjoy it.
