We encourage you to connect with us and one another, and we're making it easy to do just that! Read on for some of the many ways you can meet current students, alumni, and your future classmates.

'29s Slack Channel

We know you need a space to chat with other admitted students. We are setting you up with a Slack channel—a messaging platform—of your very own for the month of April. This is your spot to connect with other '29s—see if anyone else is on your flight to campus, talk with future classmates about your obsession with Lola Young or Severance, or find out what helped other people make their college decision. In April, you will receive an invitation to the Slack channel via the email address you used on your Common App (the same one we've been using to email you about your application).

Admitted Student Receptions

Dartmouth is ranked #1 for schools with active alumni who help students get ahead (Forbes, 2024). For you, that can start today! Join members of the Dartmouth community at a local Admitted Student Reception, held in various national and international locations. Also in attendance: your future classmates! Come mingle, ask questions, and start to feel the Big Green love. Find out more and register for an alumni-hosted event near you.

Campus Host

When you come to campus during the month of April, you'll have the opportunity to be matched with a current student as a lunch host during the day, or as an overnight host if you plan to stay on campus. Your host can help you make a plan for how to experience the Dartmouth community first-hand. Sign up for a Dimensions visit or a Plan Your Own Day visit to start the host-matching process.

Connect With A Current Dartmouth Student

Many questions are best answered by a current student, and ours are ready with answers. Take a look at our Connect With A Student page and you'll see students from all over the world with various interests and majors who are involved in a wide variety of activities. If you're wondering what it was like moving to Hanover from a large city, how to decide what classes to take, or if there is time to keep doing all the things you love to do, our students can fill you in!

Financial Aid One-on-One Appointments

How to pay for college is an important consideration as you make your decision to attend, and our Financial Aid Office is here to help. One-on-one appointments are private and confidential meetings between you—and the people you want to include in this conversation—and a member of the Financial Aid Office. If you were admitted on March 27 and have yet to enroll, register for a one-on-one appointment this month.

Post Your Profile on the Class Instagram Account

Write up a short introduction and share up to 10 photos of yourself (your pets, your hometown, your family) on the Class of 2029 Instagram account. Peruse the photos and information that has been posted and start to get to know some of your classmates. This is a public account, so keep in mind that non-classmates will also be able to see your content—alums, current students, and others like to celebrate our admitted students, so don't be surprised if they make a friendly comment on your post.

Undergraduate Deans Office

Once you decide to attend Dartmouth, and after May 1, we'll share your name and contact information with the Undergraduate Deans Office and the New Student Orientation team. You'll be in good hands! Be on the lookout for emails from them mid-May, which is when they will begin to provide you with the information you will need to begin your transition from high school to Dartmouth. Visit the Undergraduate Deans Office website and the New Student Orientation pages to learn more.
