Weekend(s)!
It's the end of week two! Weekends at Dartmouth can look extremely different for me; I love the variety of activities and opportunities available both on and off campus.
Here are some highlights from the past two weekends:
- No. 1
Fallapalooza!
The Programming Board at Dartmouth (which I am a new member of!) organized Fallapalooza and brought Peach Tree Rascals and the artist John Kay to Dartmouth! The concert was amazing; my friends and I were right at the front and we even got to meet them!
- No. 2
Game Day
My first football game ever! Dartmouth was playing against Valparaiso on Saturday the 17th and I was able to watch it with my friends; which was a completely new and different experience for me. We even got free Dartmouth bucket hats and pom-poms to cheer for the team (Dartmouth won!)
- No. 3
Bowling Birthday
It was two of my friends' birthdays so we drove down to a bowling alley near Dartmouth to celebrate! The roads around Dartmouth are so scenic, with the leaves just beginning to turn as fall is around the corner. The drive was beautiful and I got three strikes at bowling!
- No. 4
Pani-Kaju in Hanover?
This is a South-Asian snack that I was so pleasantly surprised to find at the FGO office! It made me feel like home away from home in a way I hadn’t felt before. It was a completely unexpected experience but it made my weekend complete.
- No. 5
The Orozco Room
I fell in love with a new study spot! The Orozco Room is a beautiful space hosting the famous mural “The Epic of American Civilisation”. It is a serene place to study and I did my most productive work here this weekend!
- No. 6
West House Best House!
West House hosted a trip on Sunday to Quechee Gorge and Village which is in Vermont, a 20-minute drive from Hanover. We got Quechee Gorge ice cream and visited beautiful antique stores and an alpaca farm!
