My Ranking of Restaurants in Hanover's Town
A charming town area with various restaurants is within walking distance from Dartmouth's campus. Having tried nearly all of them, here are my top 5 favorites:
#5) The Pine
The Pine, located on the ground floor of the Hanover Inn, is on the pricier side. However, Dartmouth students can enjoy a free meal there once per term by taking advantage of the "Take a Faculty Member to Breakfast or Lunch" program. I've only been twice so far, but both times I went, the food was high-quality and absolutely delicious.

#4) Molly's Restaurant and Bar
Molly's almost always has a line when I visit, and it's easy to see why. The atmosphere is lively, welcoming, and has a warm, family-like feel. Their menu features a wide range of food and dessert options, with my personal favorite being the wood-fired stir fry.

#3) Lou's
Ranked third, Lou's is another iconic restaurant in town that often has a line whenever I go. It reminds me of the song Sunday Morning by Maroon 5. My friend Tara and I enjoy coming here on weekends. Not only are their pastries and desserts outstanding, but we also love Lou's for its chill, zen-like atmosphere. My go-to order is the Chicken Cranberry Salad—it's healthy, packed with flavor, and always feels so refreshing.

#2) Jewel of India
I love this place! Nothing beats their warm, freshly made chicken tikka masala and garlic naan on a chilly day. Eating here is so healing. Plus, everything tastes authentic and absolutely delicious.

#1) Tuk Tuk Thai
And finally, coming at number one, we have Tuk Tuk Thai, my favorite restaurant in downtown Hanover. This restaurant is conveniently located underground and just steps from campus. The food tastes high-quality. Here, you can savor a variety of flavors, from spicy dishes to rich sauces and delicious, sweet desserts. I am a big fan and highly recommend it!
