This class was SO interesting... We dug into the history of racial inequality in Brazil, stretching from the advent of slavery to persisting modern societal issues.
A course that I took completely impulsively turned into one of the most formative experiences I have had at Dartmouth. Through physical mediums and theatre, I rediscovered what it meant to be 'creative.'
Having always had a hatred for learning languages, I was wary of the requirement to do so here at Dartmouth. In reality, though, I needn't have worried! I absolutely loved every minute of this class, and now I can speak pretty good Italian!
This class was extremely enlightening, and it was especially interesting to study as a British person. I felt as though I brought a unique perspective to the class, but also that I was learning a side of history which was brushed past in my GCSEs!
I spent this term completing research with Professor Cascio of the Economics Department. Our work was concerned with educational investment, and it was one of my best experiences of Dartmouth so far!
This course teaches all about the economics of the development of economies, focusing on many case studies concerning education, housing, healthcare, and more!
As we bid farewell to the winter chill and welcome the gentle warmth of spring, Dartmouth College transforms into a canvas of vibrant colors and renewed energy. Springtime at Dartmouth unveils a symphony of colours in the trees, and the sun which had hibernated for so long finally returns! The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of flowers, inviting all to revel in the splendor of the season.
This spring, interestingly, I returned to find a foot of snow had fallen—which was certainly a pretty big shock! It would seem, that winter is not quite finished with Hanover after all. I've been making the most of it though—many a friend's face has received a swift ball of snow thrown by me this week, as I make the most of this final gift of winter temperatures are rising, though, and it won't be long until Hanover transforms like a caterpillar into a butterfly from a harsh cold winter to a vibrant beautiful spring.
With the arrival of spring comes a myriad of opportunities for outdoor exploration and adventure. The Dartmouth Outing Club (DOC) springs into action, offering a host of activities ranging from hiking and kayaking to rock climbing and camping. Whether you're scaling the granite of Rumney or embarking on a leisurely hike along the Appalachian Trail, the great outdoors beckons you to embrace the beauty of spring.
Driving through southern New Hampshire was a blast this term!
As temperatures climb and skies clear, the Dartmouth community takes to the outdoors to enjoy al fresco dining and picnics on the Green.
