Sunset over the Hudson

After an unforgettable summer spent interning in sales and trading, coming back to campus has been a whirlwind of excitement, reflection, and reconnection. My summer was filled with incredible experiences—dining at some of the best restaurants, meeting inspiring people through work, and diving deep into the fascinating world of markets. I learned so much about how they function, how intricate and interconnected everything is, and how fast-paced the industry can be.

Working in the heart of it all, I gained insights that went beyond textbooks and lectures. There's nothing quite like watching how quickly markets shift, feeling the energy on the trading floor, and seeing how small pieces of information ripple out to have global consequences. It was exhilarating to say the least, and being surrounded by colleagues who were not only brilliant but also generous with their knowledge was such a gift.

While I loved the fast-paced life of the city and the constant learning that came with it, there's something so special about returning to the community I've built here on campus. Reconnecting with my friends and settling back into my Greek house has been incredible. After such a busy summer, it's nice to be back in a space where people really understand me and where we can just relax and pick up where we left off. My friends have been amazing—curious about my internship, but also just happy to have me back, filling the days with laughter and familiar routines.

As much as I learned and grew over the summer, being back here has reminded me how much I value the balance that comes with college life. I'm excited to continue applying the lessons I learned in sales and trading to my studies, and I feel like I've returned with a fresh perspective, more focused and eager to tackle the academic challenges ahead.

It's been the best of both worlds—an unforgettable summer and an even better return to campus life with the people who make it feel like home.
