Day in the Life of a Transfer Term
If you've read my past blogs, you know that I did a transfer term at Trinity College, Dublin. Here's one day in my life here!
9 am
I wake up in my dorm on campus. I am very lucky to have housing on campus, as most students live over 30 minutes from campus. Before class, I grab breakfast at Pret a Manger, my favorite coffee place in Dublin.
11 am
I am currently in a Chemistry class that fulfills one of my pre-health requirements.
3 pm
To fulfill one of my Classical Studies major requirements, I am taking a Roman Archaeology course. Just the other day, I was assigned a reading from Dartmouth's own Professor Christensen, which was really cool!
5 pm
I am taking Greek Archaeology, which also fulfills my major requirement! Regretfully, I have never taken a class solely focused on Greek Antiquity, so this class was a welcome change of pace.
6 pm
Trinity has its own pub on campus called The Pavillion! I often go here after classes to catch up with my friends. I've been really lucky to meet both other exchange students and Trinity students, which is a nice mix of people to surround myself with.
7 pm
Coincidentally, one of my close friends, Catherine, from Dartmouth has family in Dublin! Her grandmother was kind enough to invite me to her home for dinner. I enjoyed meeting Catherine's cousins, and they told me all the lore about Trinity!
10 pm
After coming back to my dorm, I always try to do something connected to Dartmouth, whether it's writing for this blog, Facetiming a friend, or catching a sports event online.
