Flowers with rainbow above

I remember being a bit skeptical when I first heard about this Sophomore Summer thing. I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to spend my Summer on campus versus being at home or doing an internship elsewhere. I kept thinking to myself, "what is there to do on campus in the Summer when there'll be even less people around?" Yet I decided to do it and it's been a nice and unique Dartmouth term experience. Without further ado, here are a few of my favorite memories so far:

  • Getting burritos and rice bowls from Boloco in Hanover town with friends
  • Having a wholesome spa and game night with my Sorority sisters
  • Cheering for my friends as they came back to campus after completing The 50 (A popular and traditional 50 mile hike led by the Dartmouth Outing Club)
  • Going to cook-outs & barbecues held by student organizations
  • Snapping pics of pretty flowers around campus to send to my mom
  • Cooking for myself more in my dorm kitchen!
  • Getting to explore The John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding as I plan an international internship
  • Getting Collis smoothies during HOTTT sunny days
  • Starting to work as a barista at Ramekin Café (now I know how to make the vanilla oat milk matchas I love!)
  • Scootering around campus with my friend's electric scooter that she's letting me borrow for the Summer as she's studying abroad in London!
  • Sitting outside whenever I can
  • Meeting Dartmouth Bound high schoolers that some of my friends have been mentoring
  • Getting a cute multi-colored french manicure from Nefertiti Nails in town!
  • Inviting my friends over for chai in my room <3
