We've put together some tips for making your journey to Hanover as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Admissions staff will be on hand at check-in to help you make the most of your visit.

Pick up everything you need for your Plan Your Own Day experience. Chat with Admissions staff to plan out your day and get answers to any questions you may have.

8:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Explore the Library

Dartmouth's library is a vibrant hub for research, learning, and collaboration, offering extensive resources, innovative spaces, and expert support to foster academic excellence and community engagement. Spend some time exploring and don't forget to grab a treat at the Novack Cafe between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Attend a Class (Students Only)

Pick up a list of classes that are open to admitted students when you grab your visitor packet at the Admissions Office in McNutt Hall.

Visit our Financial Aid Office

Have questions about how financial aid at Dartmouth works, specific questions about your offer, or any other financial aid-related questions? Personalized and confidential assistance from a member of the Financial Aid team is available without an appointment for '30s and their families. The office is closed from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.

Info Session & Campus Tour
Join an info session with admissions staff, followed by a campus tour for an hour and forty-five minute total block of time. A current student will take you around campus, answering questions and sharing their Dartmouth experience.

10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays ONLY, confirm days and times on the Life Sciences Greenhouse website)
Stop and Smell the Flowers

Enjoy a walk through our multi-room greenhouse, home to a stunning variety of plants, including the Brout Orchid Collection which includes nearly a thousand orchids of many species and hybrids.
Location: Greenhouse, Class of 1978 Life Sciences Center

11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Behold Dartmouth's Art Collection (Closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday)

The Hood Museum of Art is home to one of the oldest and largest collections of any college or university in the country. The Museum is open Wednesday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

12:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Lunch with a Student
Join your student host for lunch in the main campus dining hall which includes 8 distinct stations, each serving a different style of food, ranging from kosher to a meat-free kitchen serving vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Location: Class of 1953 Commons (collect a voucher from the Admissions Office when you check in)

1:00 p.m. (Mondays and Fridays ONLY)
See what Engineering at Dartmouth is all About

Learn how Dartmouth's engineering students enjoy top-level facilities and opportunities you can't find at other schools. You will have a 30-minute information session with a faculty or senior staff member followed by a tour of the engineering facility given by a current engineering major.
Location: Check in with the Thayer Receptionist in the MacLean Engineering Sciences Center for session location. Pre-registration required; please use this visit page to schedule.

6:00 p.m.
Listen Up!

Hear the Baker Tower Bells play the Alma Mater. Dartmouth is one of the last colleges that still uses real bells.
Location: While you can hear this from many locations on campus, the best spot might be The Green.
