We're excited to welcome you to Hanover! Here are a few key details to help make your journey, arrival, and time on Dartmouth's campus as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

🧳 Traveling

Traveling from afar? Find tips for getting here below.

Flying:

We suggest flying into Boston and taking the Dartmouth Coach bus from the airport to Hanover. With a stop right on campus, this is the easiest and most direct option for travelers to be connected to Dartmouth.

Trains:

Amtrak's "Vermonter" service from Washington and New York arrives daily in nearby White River Junction, Vermont, 4.5 miles from campus. There is no easy public transportation for visitors between the train station and campus.

Buses:

Dartmouth Coach offers daily service between the Dartmouth campus, Boston's South Station, and Logan Airport (BOS). Dartmouth Coach also offers daily service between Hanover and New York City. The coach stop is on the south side of the Green in the center of campus.

Greyhound bus service from across the region arrives daily in White River Junction, Vermont, with connections to the Dartmouth campus.

🚗 Parking:

Dewey Field Lot: Visitors attending the Dimensions programs on April 20 may park for free, in spaces located in Dewey Field Lot, a 12-minute walk from the Hopkins Center for the Arts

Anderson Parking Garage: Visitors on any day can pay a $15 flat rate per day for parking in Anderson Garage, a 12-minute walk from the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Park in any non-reserved space and plan to pay by credit card. EV charging is available in the garage.

If you plan to park on campus another date in April, please use the visitor spaces in G-Lot which allow full-day parking. Look for the green ParkMobile signs to pay for parking–$1.75/hour, up to a full day, using the ParkMobile website or app. Parking spaces without a ParkMobile sign are restricted to permit-holders only.

Accessible Parking: Accessible parking for those with state-issued accessible parking plates or placards is available adjacent to McNutt Hall, identified as Sanborn Lane on Google Maps, identified with a physical sign that says Cemetery Lane, and wherever you see accessible parking spaces throughout campus. The accessible entrance to McNutt Hall is located on the north side of the building with ramp access to the basement and elevator.

👋 Checking in:

Dimensions visitors should check in at the The Forum at the Hopkins Center for the Arts to start their visit and pick up everything they need for their Dimensions experience. If arriving after 12 p.m., please check in at McNutt Hall.
