The Common App goes live today!
The Common App goes live Monday, August 1, 2016.

Summer may be winding down for some, but for seniors in high school, the college application process is just starting to heat up! The Common App form for 2016-17 is now LIVE, and there is no better time to get started on your college application! It can be an overwhelming process, we know, but we're here to break it down for you and help in whatever way we can so that your application process is smooth and bump-free.

With that in mind, here's your first step: visit the Common App website and login (or create your account). That link will automatically add Dartmouth College to your list of "My Colleges" —viola! It's that easy.

Next, fill out the application....P.S. we wrote a post recapping all of Dartmouth's Essay prompts. Read about it here.

As you near the end of your application, the Common App requires that you pay a fee, or request a fee waiver. Click here to learn more about fees and fee waivers.

And if you have any questions and would like to speak with someone at Dartmouth, feel free to call (603) 646-2875 or email: admissions.application@dartmouth.edu.

And remember to always...

Keep calm & check your application status!

If you have submitted your application to Dartmouth through the Common Application online, you will receive an email from Dartmouth containing your Application Management System login details by August 31, 2016. The email will contain login information for our Application Management System. Through this system, you will be able to:

  • see the status of your application
  • update your contact information
  • submit an update to your application
  • see the status of your financial aid application, if applicable

So even if you submit your application today, you can still make changes and update it all the way to the deadline. And be sure to check out Dartmouth Admissions for everything you could possibly want to know about our admissions process and requirements, including information on Early Decision, Regular Decision, testing, essays, and much, much more!
