While many people might associate cold, long, snowy winters with hardship, I've found that winter at Dartmouth is full of potential to be just as fun as other seasons.

Winter at Dartmouth has many special traditions, but my favorite winter activities so far have been the "little things": the random, spontaneous adventures Dartmouth students experience daily. Read to learn about my encounter with the "Winter S's"!

In elementary school, I did ballet. In middle school, I tried diving. In high school, I played volleyball. And now, in college, I guess I'm a hockey player! Read on to learn a bit about Dartmouth Club Sports and our Women's Ice Hockey Program!

With the start of winter term comes the beginning of winter sport season! Between academic courses and clubs, one class served as both a helpful learning experience and a fun winter activity where I could destress and unwind: Ice Skating!

Each winter, a celebration of the Upper Valley's beauty is hosted on Dartmouth's campus: Winter Carnival! In honor of its 114th year in existence, I wanted to document its kick-off and the variety of activities students can participate in during it!

I do not particularly enjoy the snowy days, nor the outdoors during that time. With that in mind, I was scared that, at Dartmouth, I would feel like an outcast.

Now that it's winter, the outdoors offer plenty of opportunities for fun activities. This weekend I decided to go ice skating with my friends at Occom Pond.

I've never been a big fan of winter, but the fun activities Dartmouth has to offer during the season are nothing short of incredible.

Over the weekend, my friends and I decided to walk to Occom Pond for some ice skating.
