When I was deciding what colleges to apply to and ultimately attend, there were several things that attracted me to Dartmouth, and none of them was Greek Life.

Anyone who knew me before coming to Dartmouth might be surprised to hear that, as from this Winter term, I have been taking part in the Greek system. As I recently found out, it can be lots of fun!

You are a prospective student, spending hours researching colleges. You come across Dartmouth. You can't help but ask: Why is Greek life such a big deal here?

There is a place for everyone here as long as you're willing to look for it!

I wanted to let you in on my Greek life experience and give you my take on making friends and connections without it.

If I were to tell myself in high school that I would join a fraternity, I definitely would have laughed in my face and said something like "you're so goofy for thinking I'd ever do that." Now, here I am.
