Being away from the Dartmouth's campus and some of my closest friends has given me an opportunity to reflect on the community I was able to find at Dartmouth during this past academic year.
Going cliff jumping into a River with people you just met. Almost stepping on a snake. Having your first snowfall. There's a lot more, but that's why Dartmouth.
I played out several scenarios in my head speculating how my first term of college would go throughout high school. In hindsight, those scenarios weren't the reality, and I think Dartmouth greatly contributed to that.
First year trips is Dartmouth's student-led pre-orientation program that introduces incoming students to the college's amazing community. The DOC offers tons of options to suit anyone's preferences; I did the Museum Exploration Trip.
