Hanover Hidden Gems: A Series
The charming town of Hanover holds so many hidden gems. Between the streets, shops, and restaurants, there is so much to get to know! As a first year, my three fall months were not enough to explore everything that Hanover has to offer. So, for this winter season, I decided to take you on a tour! Let's, together, meet this small, but special town in a blogger series where I'll feature the hotspots of the week. Welcome to Hanover Hidden Gems!
My Brigadeiro

I'll be starting off with a hidden gem I hold dearly: My Brigadeiro. This bakery shop is located on South Main Street and features a wide variety of delicious Brazilian delicacies. Never would I have expected to find authentic brigadeiros (a Brazilian chocolate dessert), doce de leite (caramelized milk), or Brazilian carrot cake in the middle of Hanover. But, to my surprise, the owner moved here from Brazil and established the store in 2012. Since then, it has brought a huge piece of the culture to the Upper Valley and the Dartmouth community. To top it all off, they serve a mean cappuccino! It's the perfect place for dessert or coffee with a friend.

Sushiya
Next, allow me to introduce you to Sushiya! This hidden gem is my favorite sushi place in town. A Japanese and Korean restaurant that serves sushi, ramen, miso soup, and so much more. My tip: bring a friend and get the 36-piece sushi for 2. This heavenly combo comes with the chef's choices and they will blow you away.
Not in the mood for sushi? They also offer Korean delicacies such as sundubu-jjigae (a traditional tofu dish) or yukgaejang (a spicy beef soup).
Since Japanese food is my absolute favorite, this is my go-to place for dinner.
This is only a tiny piece of what this charming little town has to offer. Stay tuned for the next Hanover Hidden Gems!
