A Week in my Life: Spring Edition!
As the term progresses and my time in Hanover comes to an end (for now!), I've really been trying to make the most out of each day. Week seven was super fun, so I thought I could give a quick recap of how I spent my time!
Monday
The week started with some beautiful weather, so I spent most of my time outside! I grabbed lunch from Collis Cafe with my friend Bea, went to class, and then spent the evening on the Green with some more of my friends. I also went to a Dartmouth Democrats meeting, and another meeting for my internship!
Tuesday
On Tuesday morning, I met with some of my friends at FoCo (The Class of 1953 Commons, our dining hall) for breakfast. Since I was feeling a bit under the weather, I decided to spend the rest of the day soaking up the sun. I even connected to a Zoom meeting remotely from a picnic table outside of my dorm! I ended the day by going to Boloco, a restaurant in Hanover, for dinner.
Wednesday
After Tuesday's amazing weather, Wednesday was a bit of a gloomy day. I took the rain as a sign that it was time to hit the library, and spent the morning answering emails and doing some readings. That evening, I called my parents at home. Then, I got together with some of my friends and sang karaoke before bed!
Thursday
I started Thursday by visiting Still North Books & Bar for breakfast with one of my friends. After my class in the afternoon, I studied a bit for a Latin quiz. Then, I went to a feed for the Ledyard Canoe Club for dinner. It was by the river, and I really enjoyed the home-cooked food and good vibes!
Friday
Friday is my favorite day of the week, and this Friday did not disappoint! After my classes finished for the week, I met up with some friends to compete in the Interhouse Quiz Bowl competition! Although my team took third place, we had a great time testing our knowledge. Afterwards, we all got Collis pasta and debriefed our weeks to each other. Later that night, we met back up to walk to the golf course and try to see the northern lights. Although they didn't look impressive to the naked eye, we took some cool photos of them!
Saturday
On Saturday, I let myself sleep in and have a lazy morning. I did some work in my room, and then headed to the Hop to get an early dinner with some friends. I studied in Wilder Hall for a bit, and then met back up with friends to hang out. We played video games, listened to music, and just enjoyed catching up with each other for the night.
Sunday
Sunday started bright and early with a paddle on the Connecticut River. Afterwards, I spent some time just enjoying the beautiful weather. I finished up an essay for one of my classes, and then I rewarded myself with an afternoon off. I watched my friend's improv comedy show, and then spent the evening hanging out with my friends and watching a movie.
