There is always a movie playing in Hanover! I've blogged before about the Hopkins Center of Arts at Dartmouth, which screens movies, plays, and musical acts all the time. Last term, I watched Saturday Night, Gaslight, and Wicked

The Hop is a great spot for students and community members to attend events and appreciate different forms of art.

That being said, the Hop isn't the only place in Hanover where you can see a movie. Hanover also has its own movie theater, Nugget Theaters.

The Nugget is a staple in Hanover, operating here for over 100 years. The theater has four screens and plays new releases or critically acclaimed films every week.

This week, my friends and I went to a nighttime showing of A Complete Unknown, the Bob Dylan biopic.

After classes, we grabbed dinner on campus and walked over to the Nugget, about a block away from the Dartmouth Green.

For students, tickets are $9. All you have to do is show your Dartmouth ID. We also got plenty of concessions. My go-to movie theater snack is a bag of M&M's. A Complete Unknown was screening in Theater 2, so we walked down a long hallway into the theater room.

The theater was pretty packed for a weekday, and most of the audience was comprised of community members. We picked some seats in the back and talked until the trailers started.

The movie itself was really good. I'm not a pretty big biopic fan, but I enjoyed listening to the songs and learning more about 60's music. I definitely added some Joan Baez songs to my playlist after seeing this film.

All my friends really enjoyed the movie too! They are all big music and movie fans, so it was perfect for them.

After the movie was over, we walked outside, where I took this photo! It had started snowing while the movie was playing, so walking out of the theater was so picturesque!

The Nugget is a great place to watch movies and hang out with friends off campus. I will definitely be going to the Nugget more this term.
