An Ode to Friendship
For me, the best part about Dartmouth is the incomparable friendships I have made with so many people. Although coming to Dartmouth and moving in certainly caused significant anxiety, such a feeling was immediately dissipated by the presence of the amazing people on my floor in French Hall. Within the first few hours of orientation, I was already surrounded by so many incredible people. Being able to hear all about where they are from, their interests, and fun facts made Dartmouth feel like home super quickly.
Since orientation, I have found that friendship here is simply incomparable. I would like to mention some highlights with friends throughout fall and winter term so far!
The River: The river is such an amazing place to go with friends. You can just hang out and appreciate its beauty, you can swim, and you can even go paddle boarding and kayaking! It is such an incredible place and is such a great break from studying. Definitely check it out during the warmer months, because it is a place to make lasting memories!

Dorm Rooms: Dorm rooms are simply where friendship blossoms. I have talked extensively about my residential hall, French Hall, but I have also hung out with friends in so many other places around campus! Getting to sit down and talk with people in their dorms is simply incredible and I am so glad that Dartmouth is super walkable so I can get there quickly.

The Snow: It snows a lot at Dartmouth, and although that may sound intimidating, it is truly one of the best parts of Winter term. It makes campus such a beautiful place to be, and I have so many amazing memories of walking and playing in the snow with friends. The campus-wide snowball fight is just one of the many amazing parts of the snow here at Dartmouth, and it makes hanging out with friends so much more fun!

As you can see, friendship at Dartmouth is truly incredible, and there are so many amazing things to do on campus that help build friendships even more!
