It's hard to believe that I'm already wrapping up the first week of my junior fall. It feels like only last week that I first stepped foot onto campus as a wide-eyed first-year student, and only yesterday that I was starting my sophomore summer. Now that I'm officially halfway through my Dartmouth career and settling in for my fifth consecutive term taking classes on campus, I'm acutely aware of how fast time seems to fly.

It seems like years ago that I first experienced Fallapalooza, a free concert for Dartmouth students hosted by Programming Board. Two years ago, I stood in front of the stage, taking photos with an actual camera while watching J. Maya and Claire Rosinkranz perform their set. When my sophomore fall rolled around, I ended up not going to Fallapalooza despite being on campus for a myriad of reasons. Luckily for me, I was more familiar with this year's artists, opener Inoha and main artist Dayglow.

I was actually quite busy the day of the concert! I had all 3 of my classes that morning, met with a career coach at the Dartmouth Center for Career Design, met with my Philosophy major advisor to catch up, and attended a free talk on ethical jokes! I finished all the work I had planned to do that day 15 minutes before the concert. I hurriedly got ready and lined up to grab some free glow-in-the-dark merch to show my support for the artists. By a combination of coincidence and perfect timing, I managed to stand at the exact spot I stood at Fallapalooza two years ago.

The concert itself was quite fun! While I wasn't originally familiar with Inoha's music, they sounded amazing live, which is something I value in musical artists in general. They showed us lots of love (and we showed them ours). They even gave me their setlist! Meanwhile, Dayglow was fantastic, and I enjoyed singing along to songs that I knew. Fallapalooza was what I really needed after a full week of classes, and it served as a wonderful start to the fall term!
