A Day In My Life: Spring Edition
For this week's blog post, I decided to record everything I did on a random Monday last week. I guess my thinking is this—maybe a glimpse at my day will help you imagine what yours could look like. Let's see how this goes.
8:45 AM: Woke up, showered, and got ready for the day.
9:30 AM: Went to breakfast with my friends at FoCo, which is Dartmouth's main dining hall. I had some cold cereal, my friends had pancakes.
10:10 AM: I went to my first class, which takes place during the 10 block (10:10 AM-11:15 AM. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). This is my Lab in Psychological Science class for my psych major. This week, we're starting a new data sleuthing lab where we try to break down a specific dataset about the most liked movies in the continental United States over the past 15 years.
11:15 AM: After my 10, I went to Novack—Dartmouth's on-campus Starbucks—and got a coffee before my next class, which takes place in the 11 block (11:30 AM-12:35 PM), Physics for Future Leaders.
12:35 PM: I got done with Physics—we started talking about quantum mechanics this week, which was really cool. I grabbed lunch with some friends from class at Collis, which has the best stir fry and smoothies on campus, in my opinion.
2:00 PM: I went to the gym and worked out with a bunch of friends.
4:00 PM: I had to attend a risk meeting at my Greek house, which went on for two hours.
6:45 PM: I went to dinner with friends at the Hop, Dartmouth's other dining option. My friends got steak sandwiches and fries, I got a salad with buffalo chicken. (Side note—Let me know if you'd like me to do another blog post on Dartmouth's dining options!)
8:15 PM: I met with my Economics study group for our midterm, which was coming up the following week. Grinded out some problem sets, had another black coffee, and finished my work.
10:30 PM: I went for a late night woccom with two of my friends. A woccom is a walk around Occom Pond, which is on the north end of Dartmouth's campus. It's a popular spot for running, walking, or cycling.
12:00 AM: Bed time!
This was a day in my life—I hope it gave you some insight into what a day in your life at Dartmouth could look like. Let me know if you have any questions!
