Why I chose Dartmouth, and you should too

People often ask me to repeat my major after I introduce myself. Honestly, I get it: it's a long degree name. But no other academic path would have reflected my interests so comprehensively!

I still recall researching Dartmouth's modified majors before I applied. It's unique to Dartmouth; students can modify an academic department with another department to create a major of their interest.

Over the past few terms, I've realized just how much space Dartmouth's academic system gives students to customize their academic and intellectual journeys while preserving the comprehensiveness, breadth and depth of each academic discipline.

As per tradition, on our fifth term at Dartmouth, students are to declare their major. And, well, this week I got my major plan approved!

Dartmouth College, as you probably know, is an institution with a liberal arts curriculum; so, you're able to explore your options for quite a bit before you secure a dedicated major. I believe this is Dartmouth's advantage!
