Would I like my roommate? Would I fit in on campus? Would I make friends? These questions swirled in my mind as move-in day crept closer and closer. Thankfully, all of these worries were quickly assuaged once I settled into college life.
I am the "Love" on Dartmouth's campus and hope to spread a little cheer wherever I go. I am a freshman hailing from lovely Michigan, about an hour away from both Detroit and Ann Arbor.
When I first heard about the tradition of First Year Trips - where Dartmouth sends a bunch of freshmen out into the woods to do a variety of outdoor activities together before anyone has even met before - I was very intimidated.

During the week, I have most of my meals in Foco (aka the food court in Class of 1953 Commons) and from time to time, a stir fry in Collis. The food on campus is quite good, but sometimes I really want to eat out for a change.
During O-Week -- or orientation week -- before my first fall term on campus, I managed the impossible. I sprained my ankle walking down a small incline on the way to the Choates, one of the freshman dorms on campus.
