The adventures of a South Asian girl, approximately 13,718km away from home, shivering in weather that apparently "isn't that cold" and navigating college as a first-generation student! Welcome to the story of my life at Dartmouth.
In the blink of an eye, my first year of college is over, and Dartmouth has catalyzed so many of the memories I've made so far!
I played out several scenarios in my head speculating how my first term of college would go throughout high school. In hindsight, those scenarios weren't the reality, and I think Dartmouth greatly contributed to that.
Like the college application process itself, I thought starting college in person would be equally as vague and difficult to navigate; however, Dartmouth was there for me in ways that I will forever be grateful for.
FYSEP is a summer program for freshman first-gen low income students. Let me tell you about how I managed my way through this fantastic program!
Snow, snow, snow, and more snow! Although my courses have definitely been difficult to manage, I have still been able to participate in some ~cool~ activities and admire winter in Hanover.
