A Day in my Life! (First-Year Winter Term Edition)
Tuesday is probably my favorite day of the week this term because of the nice balance of studio work, classes, and time to study. My day starts with SART 15: Drawing 1 in the 10A block. I like to get to the studio a little early to settle in and refamiliarize myself with whatever I was working on last. It's a good way to ease into the morning and get into the right mindset before class begins.

For lunch, I usually head to the Courtyard Café ("the Hop") with friends because of how close it is to BVAC (Black Family Visual Arts Center). They have a variety of hot/cold food like quesadillas ("queso"), burgers, salads available everyday — check out today's menu here!
After lunch, I head back to BVAC for my First Year Seminar in the 2A block — FILM 07.15: Women and Comedy in Film — which mostly involves watching and analyzing films. It's a slower-paced class, and I like diving into the details and discussing different perspectives on the movies we watch.

After class, I usually set aside some time to study before dinner. Lately, my favorite spot has been the Mural Room in Baker-Berry Library, but its open hours are pretty limited—it's only available from 8 AM to 12 PM , which doesn't always work with my schedule.

After dinner, I usually end up studying in the ECSC building with some friends. It's often busy, but there are plenty of rooms available if you check the tablets outside to see what's open. If I'm with friends, we grab a room and work there for a few hours. It's a quiet space, and the building has everything you need — printers on every floor and the Back of the Napkin cafe on the ground floor if you need a quick snack.
These are the places I've found over the past term—spots that have made long days feel a little easier and routines a little more enjoyable. Whether it's a quiet corner to study, a good place to grab food, or a studio where creativity flows, each one has shaped my time here in a small but meaningful way.
