Midterm Mayhem: My Favorite Study Spots on Campus
Wow, I cannot believe that we're more than halfway through the term. It seems like just yesterday that I was arriving on campus and setting up my dorm room! Now, with the term moving so quickly, midterm season comes very quick. But luckily, I can proudly say that I survived my first midterms! What came with midterms was a lot of studying, so I wanted to tell you all about my favorite spots to get work done on campus.
The Computer Science and Engineering Building: Formally known as the Class of 1982 Engineering and Computer Science Center, this building has expanded both the Computer Science department and Engineering department. The building is brand new and incredibly modern, so it is simply such an amazing place to study. Plus, it is very quiet and has an abundance of study spots. The atrium is especially breathtaking, and makes it so easy to get work done. In addition, because I live in French Hall, this building is a 2 minute walk from my dorm!
Third Floor Berry (aka 3FB): If you want a quiet place to study, third floor Berry is simply perfect. When I say third floor Berry, I mean the third floor of the Berry library in the Baker-Berry building. If you want to do some serious work, this is the place to do so. In addition to the abundance of study spots, the views are simply unbelievable and make it really relaxing to work up there. I almost always come here when I need to get a lot of work done because it is very quiet and the seating is very comfortable.
The Orozco Room (aka the Mural Room): Located on the bottom floor of Baker Library, this is another amazing place to study if you want silence! There is a reason why this room is called the Mural Room: there are murals lining all of the walls with each one having so much depth and history to it. I love coming down here with friends to work because they have long wooden tables so everyone can sit together and get their work done.
My Room: And finally, my own room! Yes, I actually have found such a love for doing work and studying in my room. Of course, every other place I love to study is silent and feels private, but my room is truly the place where I have the most privacy. Whenever I need to entirely focus on something, I find myself at my desk. For me, it is the best place to get any work done that needs my full attention.
Although I have so many other spots where I love to study, these tend to be the places that I go to most. That's it for now, talk to you soon!
