Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
Having grown a little more accustomed to the single-digit temperatures in Fahrenheit, I decided to spend my three-day weekend participating in a campus-wide snowball fight.
The snowball fight is a beloved campus-wide tradition that occurs during the first "big" snowfall or winter term. Students receive an invitation from Dr. Seuss, a member of the class of 1925, to participate in a big snowball fight at midnight on the Green.
A few minutes before midnight, I left my dorm, donning a thick winter coat and gloves in preparation for the (friendly) onslaught of snowballs. I can say with confidence that I was better prepared than last year! My snowballs were (slightly) larger, and I even attempted to make a snow cat!
Thankfully, the snowball fight on Sunday night occurred the day before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so I was able to get some much-needed rest, as well as time to catch up on work, before classes resumed that Tuesday.
