First Week of Spring Term in Review!
I cannot believe that it is already spring term of my first year here at Dartmouth. Time has genuinely flown, and it is crazy to think that in just a few months, I will be a sophomore here! I love to write about my first week of each term, so let's dive right into what happened this past week!
Monday: On Monday, I had three of my classes. First, I had my Evolutionary Game Theory class in Kemeny Hall, where we learn all about how mathematics and human interaction are intertwined. Although this is a pretty big lecture course, I am taking it with a few of my friends, so I am super excited for the rest of the class! I then went to my Spanish 9, aka Culture and Conversation: Advanced Spanish Language class in Dartmouth Hall, where we not only discuss Spanish grammar but also learn extensively about Spanish cultures. This class is very small, which makes it super easy to get close with other students as well as my professor. I then got lunch with a few friends, and then went to my Cognitive Psychology class. We are learning all about how cognition influences our lives, which I am super interested about! This is also a very big class, but I am in it with a couple of friends! After that, I had a meeting for Dartmouth Civics for the upcoming term (I am one of the co-presidents!) and I caught up with people I have not seen for two weeks.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, I had my First-Year Seminar, which is titled Seriality in Pop Culture in Third Floor Berry. This class seems genuinely incredible and just up my alley, as we will be discussing television shows and comic books for the class! I also ultimately decided to drop my Cognitive Psychology class because of time constraints, so I am planning on taking it next spring instead! Besides this, I started getting ahead on work and just hung out with friends.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, I had my Game Theory class, where we dove straight into content and began learning about strategies such as the Prisoner's Dilemma. I then had Spanish, where we started to learn about various tenses as well as cultures across the world. After classes were done, I had a lot to do to start planning for Civics. I had a meeting with the board so we could figure out our plan for the upcoming term, which I am super excited about!
Thursday: Once again, I had my seminar class, where we chose which shows we are going to watch for the term! We are watching The Wire and Smallville, which I am ecstatic about. I cannot wait for the rest of this class because I think it is going to be my favorite of the term! The rest of the day consisted of work and, of course, hanging out with friends.
Friday: I had both my Game Theory and Spanish class today, where we continued our work and learned more content. Today was an absolutely beautiful day, so I was on the Green for a while after my classes were done. I played Spikeball with friends and enjoyed the sun while it was there! What a great way to end the week!

As you can see, my week was incredible and I cannot wait for what's to come!
