Hey everyone! I'm Cooper from Wayne, Pennsylvania, which is right outside of Philadelphia. I am a '28 here at Dartmouth, and plan on studying Quantitative Social Science and Cognitive Science. In my free time, I love getting food with friends, playing pickleball, watching sitcoms (personal favorite is Modern Family), and going on walks. I am super excited to be here and cannot wait to take you along my journey at Dartmouth!
I took this class with Professor Binkoski, and I absolutely loved it! We explored numerous theories regarding time travel and the existence of time, and it just completely blew my mind. Professor Binkoski is such an engaging lecturer and explains everything so thoroughly, which makes the class so incredible! After taking this class, I have become more interested in philosophy and cannot wait to take more classes in this department.
Hello again! I have just finished my first round of midterms, and we are already halfway done with the term. I cannot believe how fast this term is moving! I will most likely write about my reflection on midterms later, but right now I want to talk about something that makes Dartmouth so special: its incredible alumni network.
Now, when it comes to my relationship with alumni, both my aunt and uncle attended Dartmouth. I want to use their story to highlight just how passionate the alumni are about Dartmouth!
Not only did my aunt and uncle both meet at Dartmouth, but they also got married here, which I think truly highlights how connected they are with the community and place. They got married in the Church of Christ, took wedding photos in front of Dartmouth Hall, and they had the wedding dinner in the Hanover Inn (which my parents went to)! The fact that their entire marriage took place at Dartmouth and in Hanover just truly shows how much they loved their time here and how committed they are to Dartmouth. When you become an alumni of Dartmouth, it is clear just how much of an impact it makes on you.

Beyond this amazing story, I have been able to consult them with any questions about Dartmouth, which is so nice to have. When I toured Dartmouth for the first time, my uncle was with me, and he told me all of the amazing stories about his experience. Whenever we passed by a building, he would point out all of the memories associated with it, which really sparked my interest in attending Dartmouth. Getting to discuss my experiences with someone who went here is so incredible to hear what has stayed the same and what has changed about Dartmouth! Talking about traditions, the food, residential halls, and so much more with them really highlights how connected everyone is at Dartmouth.
