First-Year Fall in Review!
I cannot believe that classes are over and the term is done! Over the past ten weeks, I have been so grateful to experience all of the things that make Dartmouth so special. Let me talk about what my quarter looked like in terms of community, academics, and location!
Community: I have talked about this extensively in previous blog posts, but the community at Dartmouth is simply incomparable. Everyone here is so incredibly supportive and welcoming and I found it so easy to befriend so many amazing people. I have seen this tight-knit community most notably in my residential hall, French Hall, which I have talked about previously. I find myself very rarely in my room and instead hanging out with people in their rooms and around campus. I have already met so many amazing people that I can now call my closest friends, which is all thanks to the tight-knit community that Dartmouth fosters. I cannot wait for the upcoming terms to continue to form super close bonds with my peers!

Academics: Check out my previous blog post for my review of my classes this term! The academics here are of course rigorous and challenging, but more importantly they are extremely rewarding. I leave class every day knowing something that I did not know entering the class, which I think is just simply incredible. All of the professors here are incredibly accommodating and willing to help whenever necessary. I have been to office hours so many times, thanks to professors going out of their way to be available for us—I feel as though I have learned more new concepts in this ten week term than I have in my entire life! The academics here are just unbelievable and thanks to the liberal arts curriculum, you can explore so many departments outside of your intended major!
Location: Yes, Dartmouth is not located in a bustling city. But that does not mean there is nothing to do here. In fact, I find myself engaging in a new activity almost every single day! I have been to the river, went shopping in the town of Hanover, gone to sports games, hung out on the Green, and so much more beyond that! In addition, because Dartmouth is in a more rural area, it is undeniable that this campus is breathtaking. I have written about fall at Dartmouth, but I will never stop talking about just how beautiful it is during that time! If you are worried about Dartmouth's location, do not be; there are still so many incredible things to do here.

This term has been such an incredible experience, and I cannot wait for what winter term will bring!
