FallHanover, NH
Favorite Class: BIOL 16: EcologyIn this course, we covered all the basics of ecology: how organisms interact with each other and with their ecosystems. My favorite parts of the class were the labs: they took place outside and we explored ecological concepts around campus!
WinterHanover, NH
Favorite Class: EARS 21: Transforming Energy SystemsThis course was on everything energy: how we use it, how we generate it, and how we can improve our current energy systems in light of climate change. We visited nearby energy systems, including Dartmouth's very own heating and energy facilities. This course was awesome!
SpringHanover, NH
Favorite Class: ENGS 21: Intro to EngineeringThis was a project-based class where we chose an important issue and then designed a solution, using the principles and methods we learned in class. My group made a smart trash can to make recycling easier!

FallHanover, NH
Favorite Class: ENGS 37: Environmental EngineeringThis was a course covering the basics of environmental engineering. Recycling, waste management, renewable energy, and everything in between!
WinterHanover, NH
Favorite Class: ENGS 33: Solid MechanicsThe fundamentals of engineering statics and mechanics, including a term-long project to design, build, and test a scale-model truss bridge!
SpringHanover, NH
Favorite Class: EARS 80.04: Climate ResilienceA new course at Dartmouth, this class paired us with a community partner in the Upper Valley area, and we helped them develop and implement a real-world climate resilience project! In my case, that was modeling flood risk and potential solutions for a local business.
SummerHanover, NH
Favorite Class: ENGS 24: Science of MaterialsSophomore summer! This course covered the basics of materials science, from quantum mechanics to the strength and performance of real-world materials. In also included a term-long project, where my group cast aluminum-silicon alloys and tested their properties.

Favorite Class: The Stretch: Earth Sciences Study ProgramConsisting of three geoscience-focused classes, "The Stretch" is Dartmouth's Earth Sciences study abroad program traversing from Banff, Canada to the Grand Canyon, Arizona. It was an amazing experience!
Visiting Volcanoes, The Grand Canyon, and… Other Planets: "The Stretch" at Dartmouth
On the final segment of The Stretch, we explored other planets, walked atop volcanoes, and went to the very bottom of the Grand Canyon (and back). Read about it here.
Searching for Life in Death Valley: "The Stretch" at Dartmouth
The Sierra Nevadas, Death Valley, and Yosemite. Mapping our surface and searching for the earliest evidence of life on the Earth Sciences study program. Read about it here.
National Parks as a Classroom: "The Stretch" at Dartmouth
Have you ever wanted to learn about the science behind America's National Parks? Or just wanted to visit them? You'll do both on The Stretch!
Mining for Gold in Montana: "The Stretch" at Dartmouth
If you're a prospective geology, mining, or resources student, this post is for you. "The Stretch" is Dartmouth's field geology program, and it covers exactly those areas!
Geologic Mapping in Wyoming: "The Stretch" at Dartmouth
Are you interested in mapping our planet and its geology? If so, read on. This post discusses Dartmouth's Earth Sciences Study Abroad, "The Stretch."
Exploring Glaciers in Canada: "The Stretch" at Dartmouth
Have you ever wanted to study glaciers? On Dartmouth's Earth Sciences study program, you'll do exactly that. Read about it here.
Your Dartmouth "First-Year Trips" Family
This year, I led a Dartmouth First-Year Trip. It was one of the most rewarding things I've been a part of at Dartmouth so far. Read about it here!
My Classes this Spring (24S): Physics 14, Intro to Engineering, and Nature-Based Solutions
As my first year (and first spring) at Dartmouth had come to an end, I wanted to provide some thoughts and reflections on my classes this term. Perhaps you'll find something you'd like to take someday!
A Look Inside of ENGS 21: Intro to Engineering
As I've been exploring engineering at Dartmouth, one of my favorite classes so far has been ENGS 21: Introduction to Engineering. Read about it here!
A Look Inside of Physics 13 and 14: My Labs!
Here's some information on labs at Dartmouth and my experience with the physics labs I've had here so far!
