When I told my friends about the class, they were confused: how could a public speaking class be taken asynchronously?
Growing up, I remember vaguely hearing of a number of fellowships, whether from my older sister, parents, friends' siblings, etc., but I didn't know much about them.
I applied to Dartmouth as a biology major what feels like ages ago, but I had no idea what it would be like.
Despite all the confusion and commotion that has been 21W, nothing is quite as crazy as the last few weeks of the term. Therefore, I thought I'd share how the end of my term is shaping up!
In case you didn't know, Dartmouth operates on a quarter system, which means that in each term, students typically take three classes. However, they can also elect to add an additional course!
I was attracted by the opportunity to engage with first-year residents and shape their Dartmouth experiences, in addition to working with other UGAs and staff who shared my interest in helping others.
I think every student at Dartmouth has different spots they call their own, but I'm here to share some of my personal favorites with you!
In previous winters, I was able to skate on Occom Pond, usually at events with my Living Learning Community, and I'm glad to see that we're still able to take part in such winter festivities even with COVID-19 restrictions.
International students like me are no strangers to choosing their College without being able to physically visit. Now, I believe everyone is in that situation, and I decided to gather some thoughts on my choice!
