This term has been one of the most memorable ones for me, and I will cherish the experiences that I have made!
If you asked me if I saw myself spending my sophomore fall anywhere but Hanover a year ago, I'd definitely have said no. If you asked me if I saw myself in New Orleans…I would have said no way. Here I am.
The idea for Give Essential—a nonprofit that connects essential workers in need of household items with donors who are able to support them—initially grew out of a Dartmouth class, Social Entrepreneurship (ECON 77).
Standing on the Green, Dartmouth's historic grass-covered field, you get a front seat to the sunset that paints the sky a vibrant shade of berry-red and gold: fall has arrived.
These past months of navigating uncertainty have no doubt been challenging, but I've been thinking about some lessons that I want to share with you.
We may be living in new and weird times, but the core of Dartmouth — our community of kind and intelligent people — will be around forever.
