My first ever Winter Carnival!

Dartmouth's Winter Carnival is a beloved tradition that brings the community together to celebrate winter with a wide range of fun activities, from thrilling ski races to unique events like the Polar Plunge and ice sculpture carving.

Whether you're braving the cold on your way to class or participating in classic winter activities, there are plenty of ways to make the most of a Dartmouth winter!

Winter Carnival kicked off this weekend with an opening ceremony straight out of Jurassic Park!

It truly does feel like a winter wonderland! Join me as I recap my first Winter Carnival at Dartmouth.

This term was defined by its learning experiences and personal firsts, from snowsports to winter traditions. As I wait to board my flight back home for spring break, I reflect on the most memorable parts that made this term one of my favorites.

Each winter, a celebration of the Upper Valley's beauty is hosted on Dartmouth's campus: Winter Carnival! In honor of its 114th year in existence, I wanted to document its kick-off and the variety of activities students can participate in during it!
