Read about some of my top eats of the winter quarter—some in Hanover and some on trips during the term!
  1. The Fern, an on-campus cafe: Mango, strawberry, blueberry, almond, and granola yogurt parfait topped with honey! This was my go-to breakfast for the winter quarter, which I had a total of 26 times! It truly never disappoints!
A clear plastic bowl filled with sliced almonds and granola on top of vibrant mango chunks, blueberries, and red berries, resting on a neutral surface.
  2. The Works in Hanover: Southwest Chicken Sandwich! A classic sandwich that got me through some long study sessions.
A close-up of a bagel sandwich cut in half, wrapped in brown paper. The sandwich contains eggs, avocado, cream cheese, and possibly smoked salmon or another protein, with a person's hands holding it. The background shows a wooden table and a café setting
  3. Various Restaurants in Chicago: This term, I visited my sister in Chicago and ate a LOT of food, including pasta, bruschetta, Greek sandwiches, and ramen!
Two bowls of ramen on a wooden table. One bowl contains creamy broth, slices of pork, a soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, and dark noodles, while the background bowl has a golden broth with chicken, topped with an egg and green onions.
A plate of rotini pasta topped with a rich meat sauce, grated cheese, and sprinkled with fresh herbs. The plate is branded with "OLIO E PIÙ."
A close-up of a plate from "Olio e Più" with two pieces of bruschetta. The toasted bread is topped with melted mozzarella, diced tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of olive oil.
Two plates of Greek-style sandwiches accompanied by crispy French fries, set on a wooden table. The sandwich is cut in half and garnished with tomato slices, while a mug of frothy beverage is nearby, all bathed in natural sunlight.
  4. The Hanover Co-Op: Philadelphia Roll! This was my first time trying sushi at the Co-Op, and it was fantastic! The fish is so fresh and of such high quality. I would definitely recommend the Poke as well!
A takeout container with eight sushi rolls filled with salmon, avocado, and cream cheese, topped with sesame seeds. A soy sauce packet rests beside them on a metal table in natural sunlight.
  5. Tuk Tuk Thai in Hanover: Pad See Ew! I had this dish a few times during the fall quarter, but it was still a hit in the winter!
A white square plate holds a serving of stir-fried noodles with chicken, broccoli, carrots, and other vegetables, all glistening with a savory sauce
  6. The School House Cube: Waffle bar! School House hosted a waffle bar for us during finals season, with whipped cream, fresh berries, chocolate chips, and more!
A blue paper plate holds a golden waffle topped with fresh blueberries and white chocolate chips, accompanied by a generous portion of whipped cream. Surrounding the waffle are a colorful assortment of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
  7. Blank Street NYC: Chai Latte and Strawberry Matcha! Another treat from my short trip to New York on the Dartmouth Coach (read my blog about the trip here).
Two clear cups sit on a countertop. The left cup contains a vibrant green iced Matcha drink, layered with a light pink base, while the right cup holds a creamy, light brown beverage topped with a rich froth. Both cups are branded with the word "STREET."
  8. The Nugget Theatre, the Hanover movie theater: This was my first time trying movie popcorn with butter pumped on top, and it was SO. GOOD. It was perfectly salty and crispy!
