After 463 steps, we reached the top of the Duomo and were greeted by an excellent view of the entire city

The Uffizi Gallery was full of masterpieces!

The ceiling inside the Basilica de San Lorenzo was breathtaking! In the basilica, many prominent members of Florence’s Medici family are buried.

Florence was packed with tourists, but our trip was still super fun! The city was extremely walkable, which made it easy to explore on our own.

On my hike up to a sunset picnic at Piazzale Michelangelo, I saw this beautiful view of the city! It was interesting to see a crane block my view of the skyline—a reminder that even though Florence is known for its role during the Renaissance, it also functions as a modern city
