In the Field With First-Year Trips

News subtitle

In a Dartmouth tradition, incoming students hit the trails and get to know each other.

First-year trips have long been a Dartmouth tradition, allowing incoming undergraduates to explore northern New England while also getting to know each other as part of orientation.

This year, four photographers for Dartmouth News took part in 12 of the trips, ranging from hikes up Mount Moosilauke to cabin camping in the Second College Grant to museum visits and farm workdays near campus.
