My Favorite Spots on Campus So Far!
When I took my first tour of Dartmouth in the spring of my junior year of high school, I didn't see a whole lot of the campus outside of the classic locations. Of course, I saw the Baker-Berry Library, Dartmouth Hall, and the general architecture on campus. I appreciated how Dartmouth's campus was built around and as a part of nature. However, the more time I spend here in Hanover, the more beautiful it gets as I find new favorite places every day that I had no idea existed! Here are some of my favorites so far:
My favorite places on campus so far:
Rauner Special Collections Library

Although one of the most beautifully constructed places on campus, Rauner is sometimes missed by tours or visitors. However, inside this library are some of Dartmouth's rarest collections, ranging from the very history of Dartmouth College to Robert Frost's actual manuscript notes. It's one of the most aesthetically pleasing (in my opinion) study atmospheres, with a massive glass case of books spanning several flights. It's a must-see if you come to campus!
Baker Tower Room

One of Dartmouth's quintessential study spaces, this is another one of my favorite locations on campus so far. The Tower Room is a silent reading or study room lined with bookshelves and fuzzy green chairs—also containing a portrait of William Legge, the Second Earl of Dartmouth (and whom the College is named after)—you'll have to visit campus to see that for yourself.
Tuck Mall View
The Class of 1982 Life Sciences Center
Sherman Fairchild Physical Sciences Center

Many students have classes here, but not many use this as a study spot! I've just recently "discovered" the inner room with a hanging model of Earth (that actually spins) and string lights lining the ceiling. The building is right near my dorm, so it's a great spot to do some quick late-night studying in a quiet space.
The Connecticut River

Dartmouth has easy access to the Connecticut River right behind the school of engineering. Take a look at this picture from when I walked there the other day!
Honorable mentions:
Richardson Hall

Richardson is another residential building right next to where I live this term. I had to put it on this list… just look at it!
Dartmouth sunsets (at Baker-Berry and Dartmouth Hall)
That's it for now… but every week I'm discovering new places, so this list is subject to (and will) change!
