Favorite Class: SPAN 15: Latinx Writing and CompositionIn SPAN 15, you get to improve your Spanish-speaking abilities and explore the cultural experiences of US Latinx communities and the Spanish-speaking world. I enjoyed this class because we read a lot of Spanish media and literature. Profesora Antigua was an excellent professor; I recommend taking the class with her! She made the class so entertaining!

Favorite Class: ENGS 12: Design ThinkingENGS 12: Design thinking is a foundation course on the strategies and methodologies that form the basis of creative design practice. I love this course because I enjoy creating models with my hands. The readings assigned are fascinating and eye-opening. The lessons you learn in this class will help you succeed in your other courses and in life in general!
My "Why Dartmouth"
The "Why Dartmouth" supplement was the hardest for me to write. How would I explain all the reasons I loved Dartmouth in 100 words? I chose Dartmouth because of how the people and campus made me feel. Dartmouth radiates excitement.
How to: Dartmouth
The transition to college is never easy. But going to an academically rigorous and lively school can make it twice as hard. At Dartmouth, it's all about balance. Here are some things I would've liked to be told at the start of the term.
You live in the river!?!
So you're interested in Dartmouth and scouring the blog for some dorms... well you're in luck!
Reflecting on the Past Weeks
Choosing your classes can be a stressful time especially with the plethora of classes that Dartmouth offers. Here is a reflection of my course selection process and how I am enjoying the classes I am taking.
Into the Woods We Go!!

What I am Doing in the Woods!
As a NYC native I'm always rushing somewhere. In Hanover, it's the complete opposite. It's weird having so much free time to fill and actually needing to plan things to keep myself busy. Read on to see how I spend my days at Dartmouth!!

Going for Walks!
I love going on walks by myself or with friends! It’s a great way to take a break from work or to just clear my head. There are great walking paths on and off campus. One of the most popular on campus would be the walk around Occom pond otherwise known as a Woccom (walk+Occom). I usually grab a smoothie from Collis (the center for student involvement has dining options!) and walk around Occom with a friend. It's a great way to get outside and switch up your routine!

Joining clubs + trying new things!
I have recently been going to Triathlon practices and I have loved it! I am not a huge fan of exercising alone so this has been perfect for me! So far I’ve been on a beautiful river loop run and an exhilarating spin class. If you are looking for a flexible way to exercise and socialize with cool and welcoming people I would definitely recommend it. Last week I went to an open dance rehearsal. I’ve never actually danced seriously so it was an experience. I am super glad I went though. I think college is all about trying new things and seeing what new things you want to participate in to keep yourself as active as possible. I just joined intramural soccer, and it's actually so fun just playing recreationally. I play for my house (West house, the Best house) and we had our first game last Friday. It’s a great way to meet people and participate in something with very low commitment on campus.

Going down to the river (on warm AND cold days…)
I know I’ve raved about the river A LOT but it truly is so amazing that you can walk down some steps and have access to Dartmouth's luxurious beach. It is so fun going down to take a dip with some friends or even tan on the dock by yourself. It might be getting colder but I will definitely still be hanging down there. Snagging a takeout box from Foco (our dining hall) and eating dinner at a picnic table while taking in the view is a great way to mix up your routine.
